Information |
This screen is
designed to communicate any meet changes. Please review it
periodically for "UPDATES" or "ADDITIONS".
►NEW
THIS YEAR!!!! The 1600m Medley Relay (200m, 200m, 400m, 800m) will
replace the 4X800 relay is being retired in 2010. The change is designed to provide
athletes more opportunities to run in a relay event.
►The
PEE-WEE age division 6 and under (events are 50m, 200m, Long-Jump and
Shot-Put). Primary age division is 8-7 ages only.
►The 2010 BAYTAF Classic will be held
in Tampa at the Sam Horton Stadium, located at 4401 West Cypress Blvd.
on the campus of Jefferson High School.
►Coache's
Passes will be issued 1 for every 10 registered athletes.
►Admission
on Friday is "FREE". General
Admission for Saturday and Sunday is
$4.00 per
day. Youth 5 and under and Seniors 60 and older get free
admission.
►Team
tents will be allowed in the stadium only on the
top row of each grandstand and on the ground on either side of the west
grandstand up to the Clerk of Course Tent. All sites will be available
on a “FIRST COME BASIS” starting at noon on that Friday
until all 70 tent locations have been assigned. For more
information, visit the "FORMS Tab" and select "Team Tents".
Tents are
not allowed
in any other area of the stadium.
►Umbrellas
are permitted in the stands up to the press box area only.
Parents/Coaches please help to enforce this so everyone can see the
track meet.
►All
youth events will be contested on Saturday and Sunday only. Please
check Meet Schedule for changes.
►Meet
entries will be limited to the first 1,500 registered athletes.
After that the system will be closed. This helps to ensure the
ability to stay on schedule and end competition at a reasonable time
each day.
►Waiver
forms
must
be signed by parent/coach in order to pick-up your registration packet.
Packet pick-up will be at track site each day. Friday at 2pm,
Saturday/Sunday at 7:00am.
►Trash
bags will be issued in your registration packet (teams only) to help
with keeping your area clean. Parents/Coaches please encourage
your team to use them and allow individuals sitting next to you to share
your bag. Extra bags are located in the registration both.
►ALL
ATHLETES
will be issued a bib number.
To receive an award,
the athlete
must
be
present at the awards area with the bib number and proof age
(i.e., photo ID or birth certificate, etc.). If a bib
number is lost, the athlete can simple write their number on a blank sheet of
paper.
►The
400 meters for all age groups will be seeded based on performance times
if you you submit them. Otherwise your athlete will be seeded
randomly. Coaches please, submit a time based current year
performance.
